A self-tuning RSI for MetaTrader 5 — Artemis Adaptive RSI
Classic RSI has one fixed length (14) and two fixed levels (30 and 70), but the market is not fixed: in a trend the indicator sits in the extreme zone for hours, in a range it snaps back early. Instead of one setting, Artemis scores sixty combinations of length, smoothing and extreme levels on recent data at the same time and plots the one that has been working; the overbought and oversold levels move with it, and a regime label (Range / Trending / Calm / Noisy) tells you how to read RSI right now. It is a chart-reading tool, not an entry/exit signal — the decision stays yours.
Each one is a job it does for you, every day.
Five lengths × three smoothings × four pairs of extreme levels; each is scored on recent bars and the best one is chosen.
The red and green dotted lines move with the winning combination — 30/70 in a range, 20/80 or 15/85 in fast moves.
Range, Trending, Calm or Noisy — with a deliberate few-bar delay so it does not flicker. It tells you whether to trust reversals right now.
Ehlers' two-pole filter on the gain and loss streams before the RSI ratio is formed — a clean line without the extra lag of ordinary averages.
On the active series, from price pivots; an optional smart filter keeps only the meaningful ones.
Winning combination, score and sample count, the next three candidates and the last divergence in one small panel; one button hides it.
Popup, push to your phone or sound — for leaving the extreme zone, divergence and regime change. Each can be switched off separately.
Activate once per computer and that is it — no subscription, no renewal.
